OnDemandDB preview terms
Effective 8 September 2026
1. Who provides the service
OnDemandDB is operated by CognitionHub.com Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15198385, trading as OnDemandDB. Our registered office is Office 1, 2a Curzon Road, Ealing, London, W5 1NF, United Kingdom. We provide an invite-only technical preview of hosted PostgreSQL and SQLite, database context, collaboration, and recovery tooling.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract, or be authorised to act for the organisation using the service. Admission is discretionary. Invitations are personal, time-limited, and may not be sold or transferred. You are responsible for your email, password, passkeys, recovery codes, API keys, collaborators, agent activity, and all actions taken through your account.
3. Preview limits
The service runs on one Helsinki host and may change, pause, or experience data loss. It does not promise high availability, automatic failover, zero RPO, synchronous commit to off-host storage, or any particular latency. Do not use it for regulated, safety-critical, unlawful, or irreplaceable data.
4. Acceptable use
Do not probe other tenants, evade limits, disrupt the service, distribute malware, use the service for unlawful content or activity, infringe rights, or attempt to bypass access, billing, durability, or security controls. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or third parties, or to comply with law.
5. Plans, renewal, and cancellation
Free preview limits are shown on the Pricing page. Plus costs US$5 and Pro costs US$30 per month plus applicable tax. Both paid plans have no trial or minimum term and renew monthly until canceled. The purchase classification you select must accurately reflect personal or business use. Link is the merchant of record for Managed Payments transactions and handles payment methods, receipts, subscription changes, cancellation, refunds, and transaction support. You can cancel through Link at any time; cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period. Any statutory cancellation or refund rights remain unaffected.
6. Failed payment and downgrade
A failed payment receives a 14-day recovery window. At downgrade, limits return to Free; the oldest PostgreSQL database and oldest three SQLite workspaces remain writable, while later resources become read-only. We do not delete data solely because billing ended. A new 30-day inactivity clock begins at downgrade.
7. Your data and availability
You retain rights in your data and give us permission to process it only to provide, secure, operate, and support the service. You should maintain independent exports. Account deletion fences access and starts destructive deletion and subscription cancellation; encrypted recovery material expires under the documented retention process.
8. Changes and termination
We may change preview features or limits with reasonable notice where practical. You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive, including payment, data-retention, liability, and governing-law terms, continue after termination.
9. Warranty and liability
The preview is provided as available, without warranties to the extent permitted by law. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Otherwise, total liability for a claim is limited to fees you paid for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Contact and law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with its courts having non-exclusive jurisdiction. Contact support@ondemanddb.app for service questions. Stripe/Link provides transaction support for Managed Payments purchases.
